DECEMBER BULLET JOURNAL LAYOUT: BLOGMAS DAY TWO

Hey everyone! I am doing a dance of joy today because today’s post is my first bullet journal layout! Today I want to talk you through my December bullet journal layout. Firstly, I find “normal” planners from the store a little boring and just not creative enough for me. I love spending time drawing and laying out my months. I definitely take inspiration from amaaaazzzzing bullet journalists from instagram. I will list some of my favs accounts and YouTube channels at the end!

I knew a head of time that this month would be crazy busy for me, so I made special pages for things that I know I need to get done. Starting with finals week.

The first page of the month is my favorite, because it expresses your feelings toward that month. I got inspiration from @Jannplansthings from instagram for my little “December in the city” vibe. I love her page, she is so talented and has so many cool and original ideas! I have always loved NYC in the wintertime, so I thought it would be perfect! I decided to also draw a little Christmas tree to put myself in the holiday spirit mode. I put a quote at the bottom which says “the most wonderful time of year”, because it’s my fav holiday quote.

The next two pages I dedicated to my monthly layout, which is where I can write all my important events and assignments I have. It helps me stay organized and get everything done in a timely manner. I added a “blog” square where I write that months achievements, and a “to-do-list” box, where I write things that are extremely important. I am not the best at lettering yet, it is wayyyy harder than it looks! I use a calligraphy pen for most of my lettering. I will link all the pens used in this months layout at the end of the post. On a side note, I will be doing a pen collection/ pen storage/ fav pens for bullet journaling soon!

Next I made my mood and habit tracker pages. These pages really work well for me and keep me on track of how I am feeling and how I am taking care of myself. I took inspiration from pinterest for my mood tracker, and I did my usual habit tracker layout, which @amandarachdoodles uses. I fill in the days as they go so I can see at the end of the month how I did. I recommend these spreads to everyone who wants to add more to their month pages or is starting a new journal.

This month, again, is super crazy for me, so I decided to add a “finals” spread. It isn’t as cute or pretty as other spreads, but extremely useful for pacing yourself and getting things done. I will be doing a finals week post soon for more of my tips for smashing your exams. This way I can also check things off as I go so I feel like accomplished at the end. I do not like leaving things to the last minute, so doing this keeps me from anxiety and that overwhelming feeling. The spread on the right is inspired by something I saw on Pinterest and I love how simple it is. It was the perfect thing to add to make this spread feel a little more “Christmasyy”.

This is a new spread I decided to add this month, as I love writing down things I have done this month so I stay positive. I want to save my memories and have them all written down so I can go back and smile at them later. I always loved having a diary, but it is nice having everything together in one notebook. I recently added @january.-journal on instagram and she does this in her layout. It was so inspiring to me that I HAD to make one as well. If you want some amazing ideas, go follow @january.-journal on instagram.

Not pictured: I also always do a “blog post planner” in my bullet journal, however, I already wrote my post ideas out and I want them all to be a fun surprise.

I thought I would include all of my fav bullet journalists accounts in this post so you can check them out and get inspired!
